Push to Talk
OverYap accesses your microphone only when the app needs it for voice features. Holding Push to Talk sends your voice live to the members of the Radio you are currently in.
The microphone indicator and Push to Talk state are designed to make it clear when you are transmitting.
Rewind recording
A Push to Talk transmission is also saved as a Rewind recording so Radio members can replay or catch up on messages they missed.
The current Rewind retention period is up to 30 days. A recording may disappear sooner when its Radio is deleted, or when account deletion rules require the recording to be removed.
Who can hear it
Live audio and Rewind recordings are available only in the Radio where they were sent, subject to that Radio's membership and access rules.
Blocking another user mutes their live audio for you and hides their archived transmissions from your Rewind. Blocking does not remove that person from a shared Radio.
Recording awareness
Voice and recording laws vary by location. Use OverYap only in ways that comply with applicable law, and inform other people when required before transmitting or recording conversations involving them.
